I have a secret to share, the REAL reason I do weddings isn’t for the Flowers, it’s for the LOVE.
The love of ART, the love of BEAUTY, the love of enriching people’s lives, but MOST importantly it’s for the love of LOVE.
The most powerful force in the universe is LOVE. To do work that CELEBRATES love all the time, to bask in the light of love that shines on the faces of a NEWLY WED couple. To see that light reflected back at them from all their friends and family...
THAT it what drives me and CHALLENGES me to make each wedding an EXTRAORDINARY experience.
I pour my HEART into every event, because FLOWERS have a truly MAGICAL ability to bring JOY, to bring LIGHT into all of our lives, just simply by looking at them.
IGNIGHTING love is my passion, whether it’s a wedding, teaching other designers, creating editorials…..... the goal is ALWAYS to create a TRANSFORMATIONAL experience.

A hidden alley filled with ANCIENT doorways, and the scent of pungent garlic, a smoky night where the notes of gypsy GUITAR serenade the soul, dense green Jungles that meet sparkling tranculent seas where heady JASMINE perfumes the silky darkness, vibrant SPICE that hangs in the market air, all these EXPERIENCES and more create a VOCABULARY of design that has nuanced depth and layers of meaning.
A Taste for ADVENTURE
Dawn has an affinity for the romance languages. She learned ITALIAN while sketching architectural details in the streets of ROME and VENICE. She brushed up her SPANISH shopping for textiles in MADRID and flowers in the market in MEXICO CITY, She picked up some PORTUGUESE while tasting the pasteries in BELEM and the MARACUJA in RIO.

Dawn recieved her Master’s Degree in Theatrical Design from NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in NYC.
Her education has been steeped in the European Classics. She studied fine art in ITALY, as well as apprencting in a Costume and Mask Studio while in VENICE.

Before founding Tularosa, and starting on her flower journey, DAWN had spent 20 years designing everything from costumes and sets for Film, Theater and TV in LA and NYC, 2 nationally distrubuted lingerie lines, commercial design for restaurants and private homes as well as landscape design. This unique PERSPECTIVE and wealth of experience allows Dawn to bring a visionary edge to her work.
